Severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and evening from parts of the upper Mississippi Valley southwestward into the mid Missouri Valley, and central to southern Plains. The greatest threat is expected from western and central Iowa southwestward across far southeast Nebraska, far northwest Missouri into northeast Kansas, where very large hail, severe wind gusts (possibly above 70 mph) and a few tornadoes are expected.
Wednesday, May 1
Scattered severe thunderstorms will be possible across parts of the central and southern Plains on Wednesday. A few tornadoes (including potential for a strong tornado), very large hail and damaging winds are expected.
Thursday, May 2
Scattered strong to severe storms will be possible on Thursday from parts of the upper Mississippi Valley into the southern Plains.

On My Future Radar, you can see the future. Or at least, what the weather forecast models think the future will be.

You are on the page that displays data from the NAM Hires forecast model. Currently, we have radar imagery for this model from now until .

About My Future Radar

My Future Radar uses data from the Rapid Refresh and the NAM forecast models to provide simulated future radar imagery.

The Rapid Refresh model is run hourly and is useful for short term forecasting. The North American Mesoscale Forecast System (NAM) is run 4 times a day and typically has data from now to 2.5 days in the future.
