what is my future radar?

On My Future Radar, you can see the future. Or at least, what the weather forecast models think the future will be.

You are on the page that displays data from the Rapid Refresh forecast model. Currently, we have radar imagery for this model from now until .

severe weather outlook overview for the next few days

Friday, Apr 28
Numerous severe storms will be possible on Friday from a portion of the southern Plains into the lower to middle Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee Valleys.
Saturday, Apr 29
Severe thunderstorms are expected from parts of central Texas northeastward to portions of the Ohio Valley Saturday into Saturday night. These storms will be capable of large hail, damaging winds, and perhaps a few tornadoes.
Sunday, Apr 30

About My Future Radar

My Future Radar uses data from the Rapid Refresh and the NAM forecast models to provide simulated future radar imagery.

The Rapid Refresh model is run hourly and is useful for short term forecasting. The North American Mesoscale Forecast System (NAM) is run 4 times a day and typically has data from now to 2.5 days in the future.
