Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms should occur over parts of the Dakotas and Nebraska this afternoon and evening, and far western Iowa and southwest Minnesota overnight. Very large hail, severe wind gusts, and a couple of tornadoes all appear possible.
Thursday, May 15
Severe thunderstorms are expected across parts of the upper Mississippi River Valley and Great Lakes region Thursday afternoon and evening. The primary risk with this activity is large to very large hail, tornadoes (a couple may be strong), and scattered wind damage.
Friday, May 16
Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are expected across the Ohio Valley region Friday afternoon and evening with more isolated severe thunderstorms extending southwestward into northeast Texas.

On My Future Radar, you can see the future. Or at least, what the weather forecast models think the future will be.

You are on the page that displays data from the NAM Hires forecast model. Currently, we have radar imagery for this model from now until .

About My Future Radar

My Future Radar uses data from the Rapid Refresh and the NAM forecast models to provide simulated future radar imagery.

The Rapid Refresh model is run hourly and is useful for short term forecasting. The North American Mesoscale Forecast System (NAM) is run 4 times a day and typically has data from now to 2.5 days in the future.
